I don't pretend to be a master of modeling, and I probably will never reach that point. If you ask me, that may be for the best since I hate being the center of attention. However, there are certain modelers who excel at their craft, bringing forth layouts that are legendary. In N and HO scales, many master modelers exist, however in 1:20.3 indoors, there are only a select few.
After scanning the Internet, I have found two particularly interesting, awe inspiring, and note worthy layouts that are 1:20.3 (Fn3) scale.
1. The Sundance Central
Thousands have seen this layout that was originally based in Florida. The Layout is an Fn3 sectional and portable layout which requires two trucks to move. The Layout has been featured in quite a few magazine articles, plus this layout is one of those famous model railroads everyone seems to recognize. When it comes to detail, out of the box thinking, and making a railroad presentable, the Sundance Central is one railroad to take note of.

2. Tom Millers Fn3 Layout
Tom Miller did have a lot of help with scenery and details, but the man still deserves credit for sticking with his project, seeing it to completion, working hard many days to build the railroad, plus his eager willingness to share his creation with others. Tom's layout is housed in a 45ft by 90ft building, all of it dedicated to Fn3 scale. The plan is simple, but it takes up a lot of real estate. Most of us will only be able to dream about a layout such as this, but at least one modeler decided to make his ream come true. Fn3 is also a very large scale, and so proportionally, this layout would be nothing more than garage sized in HO scale, being about 15 ft by 30 ft. Also, much of the real estate is taken up by scenery instead of trains, completely the opposite of the Sundance Central.
For Scenery techniques, balance, special effects, and a host of other subjects, Tom's layout is worth a look. To my knowledge, this railroad has no official website, but it has been mentioned and been the subject on many modeling forums. I agree with your selection of two of the finest Fn3 layouts. I wonder if Tom still has his layout?
